Virginia’s & Gran Torino
Hard to believe we’re already at the end of season three of our podcast! But don’t worry, we will be returning with more fun New York stories on June 21st for season four! And of course, we’ll continue taking your NYC recommendation requests every Friday on our Instagram. For this week we have my suggestion of an old spot that’s returned and your request for outdoor spots to enjoy the weather. And don’t forget to submit your NYC requests on Friday in our stories on Instagram!
First up is my recommendation of Virginia’s in the East Village. They used to be on East 11th St. but closed down for a bit and are back on East 3rd St. I had the pleasure of going to brunch here this past Sunday and it was nearly perfect. My husband and friend reported the much-talked-about burger is indeed excellent. As the resident vegetarian, I can report the rosé was great ;)
Your request this week was “patio bars!”, haha. Now is for sure the time to be soaking in the sun in NYC while sipping a beverage. And Gran Torino is a great spot to do that. They have a HUGE amount of outdoor space- shaded, sunny, gravel, covered, they got it all. The drinks and vibe are nothing fancy but it’s a great location and would be a good fit for all sorts of groups/people.
Don’t forget you can have a custom New York City itinerary just like this, made specifically for you with our Curated Days!
