Jungle Bird & Cecily Brown at The Met

This past Friday I had the pleasure of taking FOUR modes of public transport in one day and I can’t help but think how lucky we are as New Yorkers to have all these options and sometimes, we maybe take them for granted. But in one day I took the subway, walked, Citi Biked, rode the ferry to Brooklyn, and took the bus home! With all of these options, why not go out and have some fun with our Rachel’s Recs! First up, your request for a happy hour, and second, my recommendation of a new exhibit. Don’t forget to submit your NYC requests on Friday in our stories on Instagram!

First up was your request for “a nice happy hour in Chelsea” and Jungle Bird is perfect. Their happy hour starts at 3pm(!) and features cocktails, wine, beer, and snacks. They also have every New Yorkers dream of floor-to-ceiling windows that open at the front onto the street, so you can see all of NYC walking by while you enjoy your drink.

This show will floor you! The vivid colors, the size and scale, the emotional depth… it is a must-see for sure. This is the first time her work is being shown in a major exhibition in New York City and it is not to be missed. Get your tickets now and be prepared to be wowed by these stunning works.

Don’t forget you can have a custom New York City itinerary just like this, made specifically for you with our Curated Days!
