Summer Streets & Crosby Bar
As you might imagine, Summer Streets was every bit as great as I expected. So, I gotta go with my gut… And, you deserve some Champagne, don’t you? Don’t forget, you can submit your NYC requests on Friday in our stories on Instagram.
I know, I know. But! Even my best friend in the city admitted to me she’s never done Summer Streets (she’s remedying that this Saturday). So, I really have to belabor the point that you need to take advantage of the car-free streets. You’ve got two more weekends to bike, walk, roller skate, stroll, and more from the BK Bridge to the top of Central Park. If you go, I promise I won’t recommend it again next week! Maybe.
Ever since my return from vacation, I can’t stop craving Champagne. I keep ordering it everywhere I go: Compagnie’s happy hour, The Mulberry with friends, at a bar in Midtown by myself. But I did some digging into the They Had Fun archives, and I’ve never recommended one of my favorite places to drink Champagne, The Crosby Bar. The Crosby Hotel is a five-star hotel located right in the heart of SoHo that is equal parts luxurious and quirky. I love popping into their bar when I’m shopping downtown or after I finish editing at a coffee shop in Nolita. Of course, this atmosphere comes at a price. But it’s summer in New York and you’ve been putting in the work. Treat yourself to a cold glass of French bubbles, you deserve it.
