Aldo Sohm Winebar & Greenacre Park

You’ve been asking and it’s finally time to deliver… we’re starting a membership! But we can’t do this without your help, could you pretty please take the time to fill out our Membership Survey to let us know what YOU want to see more of? Ok, onto Rachel’s Recs. Again this week I’m bringing you two things you can do in tandem. Don’t forget, you can submit your NYC requests on Friday in our stories on Instagram.

I received multiple requests for wine bar recs this week but the one that stuck out was asking for “non-natural wine bars”. I hear you, I see you. And the perfect spot for you to enjoy a classic glass of wine is Aldo Sohm on West 51st St. Yes, midtown! I dare you. I love Midtown. Especially in the evenings: most people have cleared out, the streets are immense, and you can walk right into a wine bar from the sommelier behind Le Bernadin and get a $15 glass of wine.

Alright, now that you’ve had a glass (or two) of wine and are feeling buzzy, head 15 minutes east on foot to Greenacre Park… to see a waterfall. A waterfall in midtown Manhattan folks. Peaceful, serene, calming, not typically the words we associate with this neighborhood but I assure you it’s all that and more. And if I were you, I’d head to another bar after the waterfall to keep the party going. But no recs for that, I’d love to see what you stumble into in New York City.

Don’t forget you can have a custom New York City itinerary just like this, made specifically for you with our Curated Days!
