Barano & Open Streets

If you’re reading this, you are officially visiting our brand-new website! Thank you so much to Kelsey Higgins-Robinson for the refreshing redesign! We hope you enjoy it and maybe, are even more inclined to book a Curated Day. Let’s get to our Rachel’s Recs- up first was your request for a place to get an outdoor spritz followed by my suggestion for something free to do in NYC this weekend. Don’t forget to check out our stories on Instagram every Friday to submit your own Rachel’s Recs request.

So you want to get an outdoor spritz now that the weather in New York City is finally amazing… while I’d love to recommend Bar Pisellino in the West Village, it’s almost always impossible to get in. Lovely, but the line is wild! However, Barano, has got you. They have outdoor seating with a lovely view of the Williamsburg Bridge, Aperol umbrellas that almost give you that Italian experience, and delicious spritzes. Get outside!

Open Streets is back for Earth Day this year! There are seven signature locations and twenty-four Open Street locations across the five boroughs, so there’s an opportunity for all of us to enjoy this car-free day. You can walk, bike ride, hang with your friends, whatever you like. The stretch of Broadway in Manhattan from 17th-42nd will for sure be a hot spot and I’ll be there myself enjoying it! And don’t forget, you can get a free Citi Bike with the code CARFREE23.

Don’t forget you can have a custom New York City itinerary just like this, made specifically for you with our Curated Days!
