Gallery Crawl

You’re always requesting things to do that are activities, that don’t involve food & drink, etc. So, I thought I’d make this week’s recommendation a little gallery crawl I did with friends last weekend through the LES and Chinatown. I’m including the four stops we did but feel free to add or take away as you see fit. And if you’re anything like me and my friends, you’re gonna stop for a few post-arty drinks at Forgetmenot. Don’t forget, you can submit your NYC requests on Friday in our stories on Instagram.

Start off on Broome Street at Derek Eller to see their Karl Wirsum show that was recently featured in NY Mag’s Approval Matrix. This retrospective features works spanning from 1963-2020.

Then head two minutes south to 47 Canal, which is sneakily, not on Canal St. This show from Miakeal Marman was my favorite of the day!

Head over to Bowery to make your first of two stops on the avenue at Island. Buzz to get up to the second floor and then be wowed by Psychosexual Thriller.

Make your last stop around the corner at Magenta Plains for all three floors of Transmissions. The most political work at all the galleries, but fun nonetheless!

Don’t forget you can have a custom New York City itinerary just like this, made specifically for you with our Curated Days!
