More requests for happy hours in New York City! If you don’t know, I’m a huge fan of happy hours and even keep a personal Google Map of just happy hours. So, we’re starting with one of my go-to’s followed by my choice of a great gallery show I saw in Chelsea last week. And don’t forget, now that our themed months are over, you can submit your NYC requests on Friday in our stories on Instagram!
Specifically, the 18th Street Tarallucci. Location, location, location. Of course, this happy hour is great all around: $10 wines, $6 beers, and snacks. But the location really is one of the best parts. All your friends, coming from different areas, can meet at this centrally-located, lovely, Italian restaurant right off Union Square. My fav, the seats at the window looking onto the street!
I love the Chelsea gallery opening evenings: New Yorkers are strolling the streets, bouncing from show to show, taking in the art and the city… it’s perfect. The best show I saw last week was Bad Posture at Praxis. This show from Luciana Pinchiero plays with the idea of body, sculpture, female identity, and there’s a heavy influence of Greek and Roman sculpture. I’m not doing it justice, but the show was fabulous!
