Honey Moon & The US Open

I had a lovely birthday weekend in NYC enjoying the final Manhattan Summer Streets. But don’t worry, if you were concerned that I wouldn’t be able to talk to you about it anymore.. there’s a Brooklyn one this Saturday! Haha. First up we have your request for a coffeeshop in Ridgewood and second is my recommendation that plays perfectly into our guest on the podcast this week! And don’t forget to submit your NYC requests on Friday in our stories on Instagram!

I was happy to see a request for something in Ridgewood, as we know I’m a big fan. And it’s a good excuse for you to finally go out and explore the neighborhood. So my rec is one of the newer ones but still great, Honey Moon! They’ve got a book annex in the back, great coffee, records for sale, and booze in the evenings. What can’t you do there? Go check it out!

If you’ve never had a chance to go to The US Open in New York City, why not make this your year?! It truly is soooo much fun and one of the best sporting events in the city. And, this week, starting August 22nd, the preliminaries are free and open to the public! That’s right you can head to Flushing Meadow Corona Park and watch some of the best players in the game for free. Of course, you could always buy some luxury tickets and drink your face off in Honey Deuces too… up to you!

Don’t forget you can have a custom New York City itinerary just like this, made specifically for you with our Curated Days!
