The Ludlow Hotel & New Museum
The terrible, cold weather in New York City has hit, and now comes the time when many of us who live in this city start to wonder why we do. So, this week we decided to highlight a way to remind ourselves(and visitors) why we live in the greatest city in the world… a staycation! In January and February you can find unbelievable deals on hotels and those hard-to-snag dinner reservations at trendy restaurants you’ve been wanting to try suddenly become available. Do yourself a favor- get a hotel for a night or two, forget about your to-do list, go shopping, go out to lunch, walk around, have no plans, and remember why you love it here so much.
This boutique 4-star hotel is not only well-designed and lovely, but they have incredible deals during the months of January and February. We recently stayed during the week and rooms that can run up to $500/night in the summer were only $239! Pro tip: ask for a room upgrade before you check in, you never know!
The New Museum is a wonderful contemporary art museum on Bowery. They currently have a fabulous show, “Young Lords and Their Traces”, that is open until February 5th. And on Thursday evenings they’re pay what you wish! Seeing the museum at night, and with smaller crowds, is such a great experience.
Don’t forget you can have a custom New York City itinerary just like this, made specifically for you with our Curated Days!
