Madame Vivien V at Joyface & Flowers from the Bodega
In case you were wondering, our season eight finale party at Ray’s was a giant success! I was out til 2:30 (ok maybe 3), and one of my later night activities is a rec today. Still looking for guests for the ninth season of our podcast, please share anyone you think would be good! I always say that the only requirement to be on the show is the gift of gab and loving New York. Also, the sun’s out. Dear god, the sun is out. Go enjoy it, please. Previous guest of the podcast, Madame Vivien V, is bidding farewell to their weekly Wednesday night party at Joyface (no drama!) You’ve got two more Wednesdays to catch this iconic show at an amazing venue, and boy, oh boy, is it fun (re my 3am night last Wednesday). Madame always puts on the most high-intensity, fun, loud, danceable show and the intimacy of Joyface makes it all the better. I’m sure there’ll be lines for these last two performances but if you get there around 1030 you’re most likely to get in. Go dance your asses off!
Buying Flowers from Your Bodega
As I mentioned, the sun is out! It’s the perfect time to stroll your neighborhood, pop by the local bodega, and get a couple of bunches of flowers to spruce up your apartment. Now, I never want to speak negatively about a local biz on They Had Fun, but I will say I recently popped into a cute little floral shop and decided to have my man character moment a creta e bouquet with one of the works and randomly chose tiny little stem ater tiny little stem and then this person rang me up, and it was 90 dollars. I was gobsmacked! No diss on them, lovely flowers! But last week, I bought three bunches from my bodega for $30 and made two little arrangements by myself, and that was money well spent. A little cheery bodega arrangement sitting on myself brings me immense joy as we enter this beautiful spring in NYC.
